A seller was preparing to leave a home that had been part of her life for many years. It was a unique acreage property, and the move involved more than putting a sign in the yard.
The sale required visits from several contractors and service professionals to inspect and evaluate different parts of the home. I helped coordinate those visits, met people at the property, assisted with paperwork and kept track of the moving pieces. My goal was to make the process easier for her and be someone familiar she could count on along the way.
As we got to know each other, I learned how much she enjoyed flowers. Occasionally, I brought her some simply to brighten her day. Those small gestures became part of a friendship that meant a great deal to me.
We successfully sold the home, and she was able to make her move. What stayed with me was the reminder that going above and beyond is often about being present, paying attention and showing up when someone needs help.
