I think we can all agree that 2020 has been a crazy year. And being in a global pandemic, Halloween may look a little different than usual this year. Because of this, the MoJo Team wanted to pull together a short list of some Halloween events that are happening in the Kansas City area to help you have a little fun. We of course encourage safe practices while attending these events, including wearing a mask, social distancing, and washing/sanitizing hands.
Kids/Family
Haunted Candy Cruise
What: Drive around Pink Hill Park and enjoy Halloween scenes, trick-or-treating with local vendors, snacks and more! All from the comfort and safety of your car!
Where: Pink Hill Park (2715 NW Park Dr., Blue Springs)
When: Friday, October 30, 2020 from 6pm-9pm
Cost: Free
Halloween at the Ranch
What: Enjoy a fun filled day at Faulkner’s Ranch! In addition to their family-friendly attractions, like pony rides, petting farm, pedal karts, and so much more, they’ll be having their Annual Halloween Egg Hunt at 12pm and 2pm (for children ages 3-12). Costumes are encouraged!
Where: Faulkner’s Ranch (10600 Raytown Road, Kansas City)
When: Saturday, October 31, 2020 from 10am-3pm
Cost: Tickets are $15/person, children 3 & under get free admission. Ticketing is limited and must be purchased online to guarantee admission.
Boo at the Zoo
What: The annual event is being modified this year for a safe trick-or-treating experience. Bring the kiddos in their family-friendly costumes and join the fun! Treat bags will be provided. The animals will also be receiving pumpkin enrichment at scheduled times throughout the day!
Where: The Kansas City Zoo (6800 Zoo Drive, Kansas City)
When: Saturday, October 31, 2020 from 10:15am-5pm (FOTZ Members get early access from 9am to 10:15am)

PowerPlay Halloween Haunt
What: Enjoy a Scavenger Hunt for all PowerPlay customers with a chance to win a $20.00 PowerPlay card.
Costumes are Encouraged!!! The Concession Stand & Kitchen will be open to provide all of the hungry trick or treaters plenty of food and drinks. Adult Beverages are available for purchase as well.

Cider & Spiders, Tricks & Treats
What: Join us for a fun filled time of trick or treating, games and a costume contest!
Where: Louisburg Cider Mill (14730 Hwy 68, Louisburg, Kansas)

Zombie Purge Paintball Hunt
What: The zombies have invaded the Lakeside Speedway! Climb onboard the 13′ tall Zombie Purge monster bus and slay REAL zombies with paintball guns! This year they’ve also added two, all-new haunted attractions – Lakeside Terror Trail and the Crazy Clown Funhouse! Zombie Purge Rides start at 6:20pm each night and run every 20 minutes. Rides are approx. 12 minutes. 100 paintballs included. Additional paintballs can be purchased on the bus for $10 per pod of 100. Cash only

Outdoor Double Feature: Halloween ’78 & Halloween ’18
What: Screenland Armour is getting in the Halloween spooky spirit with their outdoor film series by playing the original Halloween and the latest Halloween in their back parking lot. These screenings are a bring your own chair set-up and spaces are socially distanced between each other. Please wear a mask when arriving to check-in which is located behind the main building. Masks are required when entering the main building to use restrooms or buy hot foods.
Where: Screenland Armour (408 Armour Rd., North Kansas City)
When: Saturday, October 31, 2020 from 6pm-10:30pm (“doors” open at 6pm and the first movie will start at sundown, around 6:30pm)

Halloween Party: CarnEVIL
What: P&L’s annual Halloween party may look a little different this year but at least a mask can be a part of your costume! Dress to impress for the costume contest.
Where: Power & Light District, at participating venues
When: Saturday, October 31, 2020 from 7pm-10pm

80’s Halloween Party
What: Do the Monster Mash this Halloween on the rooftop at Chicken N Pickle! There will be live 80’s music from Retro KC, drink specials, costume contests, and more!
Where: Chicken N Pickle – Kansas City (1761 Burlington St., North Kansas City)
When: Saturday, October 31, 2020 starting at 7pm
Cost: No tickets required
