There’s lots of fun for the whole family happening this weekend in Kansas City! Let the fall festivals continue!

Weston Irish Fest

When: Friday, Oct. 13th 5pm-12am, Saturday, Oct. 14th 11am-12am, Sunday, Oct. 15th 12-10pm

Where: O’Malley’s Pub and Courtyard in Weston

Cost: Advanced admission – $5 for Friday, $10 for Saturday or Sunday, at the gate – $10 for Friday, $15 for Saturday or Sunday. Children under 14 get free admission

What: This festival celebrates Irish culture with some of the best acts in Irish music, delicious traditional Irish food (and regular festival foods for those less adventurous eaters), vendors selling Irish goods & wares, and of course, lots of Irish libations!

Sprint Family Fun Days: Fall Festival

When: Saturday, Oct. 14th 11am-3pm

Where: Kansas City Power & Light District

Cost: Admission is FREE. Premium activities require an all-access wristband. (All-access wristbands are $5 per child and available to purchase at the event only).

What: Trick-or-treat at downtown shops and restaurants, enjoy pony rides, a barnyard animal petting zoo, mechanical bull, bounce houses, arts & crafts with Oddball Kids, science pumpkin fun with MadScience, live entertainment, StoneLion Puppet Theatre’s Barnyard Jamboree Puppet shows and more! (You may also purchase a Kids festival food & drink package for $10. Kids packs include one all-access wristband and a food & drink package from Cosentino’s Market Downtown. Porchfest KC

When: Saturday, Oct. 14th 12-6pm

Where: The Valentine and Roanoke neighborhoods in Downtown KC

Cost: FREE

What: This small and unique music festival has grown tremendously as it is going into its 4th year. This festival invites local bands and artists in a wide variety of genres to play acoustic(ish) sets on volunteer host porches throughout the Valentine and Roanoke neighborhoods. To attend all you have to do is show up and wonder from porch to porch, stopping in the yards whenever you find something you like. It is recommended that you bring your own portable seating so you can take the load off while listening to some music and some cash because all of the bands are playing for tips. There will also be food trucks selling delicious food for your dining pleasure. You can follow the link above to find a printable map and schedule if you’d like to find certain bands that you are already a fan of.



When: Saturday, Oct. 14th 1-2:30pm

Where: Waggin’ Trail Dog Park in North Kansas City

Cost: A donation of $5 per dog or a donation item for the Parkville Animal Shelter (from the list found by following the link)

What: There will be vendors, treats, door prizes, and a costume contest. Large Dogs contest starts at 1:15pm and Small Dogs contest starts at 1:30pm.


Fed Up Fest

When: Saturday, Oct. 14th 2:30-11pm

Where: Crossroads KC at Grinders

Cost: GA is $20, Bleacher seats are $30, VIP is $60

What: It’s more than music. It’s a mission. Fed Up Fest Kansas City is a music festival featuring two stages with awesome national and local bands, beer, food trucks, a food packing event, games and more! This year’s lineup features The Strumbellas, Cowboy Mouth, Me Like Bees, The Phantastics, Old Salt Union, The Philistines and Noah Kahan.


Botanical Brewfest

When: Saturday, Oct. 14th 4-8pm

Where: Overland Park Arboretum & Botanical Gardens – 8909 W. 179th St., Overland Park, KS 66085

Cost: Advanced purchase – $75 VIP tickets, GA $50. At the gate – $85 VIP, GA $60

What: Taste over 90 craft beers you can’t find elsewhere. Food, music, games and fun. Featuring many local and regional breweries, restaurants and bands all in our beautiful garden setting. Don’t miss this premier metro wide beer event that benefits the Arboretum.


Prairiefire Oktoberfest

When: Saturday, Oct. 14th 10am-3pm

Where: Prairiefire – 5661 W 135th St., Overland Park, KS 66223


Cost: FREE

What: Head out for a day filled with fall fun for everyone! Pumpkin decorating, petting zoos, live music, face painting, balloons, pie eating, bier gartens, art, bounce houses and MORE! FREE Admission and good times for ALL ages!
